DIFFERENTIATION INFORMATION
Three different homework assignments are available for every lesson. Students will choose which assignment they would like to complete. The "Basic" assignment is the longest of the three but contains mostly computation problems. The "Average" assignment is a combination of computation and application problems. The "Advanced" assignment is the shortest in length but contains more challenging problems.
CORRECTIONS/RE-TESTING
Corrections may be done on all daily assignments in Algebra. All corrections must be done on a separate piece of paper that is stapled to the original assignment. The average of the two scores will become your new score.
Re-testing may be done on all sections of each test . In order to re-test a section you must show the goals, notes, and vocabulary for that section, along with corrections on the homework (unless you score is a 4 or higher), and corrections on the test. You will receive the new score for that section.

LATE WORK POLICY
It is the responsibility of the student to make sure that all work is handed in on time. Daily work does play an important part in the student grade. If you choose not to turn in an assignment on time, you will not be penalized points on the assignment itself, however you will lose 1 point of your responsibility grade.
RESPONSIBILITY
Taking responsibility for your learning is key to being successful in Math. Responsibility can be shown in a variety of ways, from bringing the proper supplies with you to turning in your work on time. In order to communicate your level of responsibility I will be including responsibility as part of your grade. This grade will not be added until the last day of the quarter so that you are able to differentiate the difference between your academic performance and your academic performance combined with your responsibility (although personally I think they go hand in hand). Students will start with 45 responsibility points each quarter but will lose points for forgetting/losing supplies, talking during instruction, or turning work in late.
