CLASSROOM RULES
1. Entering the classroom: Please enter the classroom quietly. Take your seat and get to work on the brainteaser question. When you are finished return your brainteaser to the appropriate basket.
2. Tardiness: You should arrive to class on time. If you walk in tardy, please do so quietly and respectfully. You will need to see me after class. Your first tardy of the semester will result in a warning. The second tardy of the semester will result in a detention. Your third tardy of the semester will result in an office referral.
3. End of class dismissal: I, the teacher, dismiss class, not the bell. Please remain seated until I dismiss you.
4. Listening and Responding to questions: I expect that all students will be paying attention in class. Please raise your hand if you have a comment or question during discussion. Respect others who are speaking. Do not interrupt. All students need to participate in class discussion. I will call on students regardless of whether your hand is raised so you will need to be ready at all times. :)
5. Bathroom Use: Use the bathroom during the three minute passing time. If you think you will need a little more time, come to me right away during passing time and ask to use the restroom. During class time, bathroom passes are not given (teacher discretion).
6. Independent Work Time: When you finish your work early, please work on corrections, missing and late work, your personal agenda or Compass.
7. Borrowing Supplies: Please come to class with your laptop, pencil, paper, calculator and IN9 daily. If you need to borrow supplies, please borrow from a classmate. If you cannot find a classmate, I will lend you what you need but each supply will cost you two points.
8. Behavior Expectations: Students are expected to be respectful toward their peers and their teachers. We are all here to support and help each other.
9. Proper Headings: Make sure all papers contain the appropriate heading in the upper right hand corner. If your name is not on your paper I will not be able to identify it as yours and consequently will not be able to give you the appropriate credit. All work MUST also be done in pencil.
10. Absent Work: While at home during an absence you can check the Moodle to find out what you are missing. Upon returning to school please check the assignment board and check with me so we can have a discussion about how best to get you caught up.
